Ian Falconer is the creator of the Olivia books. When Falconer first laid eyes on his baby niece, Olivia, he was entranced by her. Wanting to make a present for his niece, he started working on a little book, and so started the beloved Olivia series.
The first book was soon on the New York Times bestseller list. All of the Olivia books contain Falconer’s wonderful humor and unmistakable illustrative style of stark minimalism of uncluttered images in black and white with the occasional splash of red.
